This presentation is offered by the Maricopa Elder Behavioral Health Advocacy Coalition.
Beyond Barré Fitness (4 weeks)
With movements inspired by ballet, yoga, and Pilates, this 4-week program will use small, controlled movements to help strengthen and tone your muscles. This chair assisted workshop focuses on improving balance, flexibility, core strength, and muscular endurance through standing exercises and floor-based core work. Light weights, small balls, and sliders may be used during class. Grip socks will be provided! Most exercises will be performed while standing, making this a fun and effective way to build strength, stability, and confidence in movement.
Understanding Medicare
Medicare can be complex and confusing. At this seminar, Deborah Bates, Owner & Educator at Bates Retirement Services will discuss how and when to enroll in Medicare, what Medicare does and doesn’t cover, and the pros and cons of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplemental insurance.
