  3. Your Aging Story: Who Will Be The Author?

Post date:

Yesterday’s Grand Opening at the new Center For Health & Wellbeing was a rousing success, thanks to the warm welcome we received from the local community. Over 300 people attended the health fair, toured the new center and many heared an inspiring presentation given by Dr. Roger Landry, author of Live Long, Die Short and a staunch supporter of Sun Health.

It’s impossible not to be a fan of Landry’s book and mission, which is to dispel the myth that once we retire, the rest of our lives are spent in decline. He believes that people can function at a high level much longer. He cites research that shows that more than SEVENTY PERCENT of performance versus decline is based on our own lifestyle and choices.

“Want a more rewarding retirement and healthier aging? Then it’s critical to stay connected, active and fulfilled,” Landry says.

Landry feels it’s never too late to make a difference and resources like our Center For Health & Wellbeing are instrumental in enjoying a more successful aging experience. The “trick” is to keep moving and to continually challenge the mind, instead of being “put out to pasture.”

Over the next few months, we’ll share more of Dr. Landry’s insights on our Sun Health Senior Living website. If you haven’t read his book, we highly recommend grabbing a copy.

We are so grateful to have this additional opportunity to serve residents of the Surprise and surrounding communities, and excited to see how we will be impacting health management. THANK YOU for helping us make this vision a reality.
