Carbohydrates are stored in three ways: muscle glycogen, liver glycogen, and blood glucose. Consuming adequate carbohydrates on a daily basis are necessary to replenish these storage areas. Foods such as fruit, bread, pasta, oatmeal, cereals and rice provide our bodies with rich sources of carbohydrates.
Additionally, please don’t forget the most important nutrient – water. Dehydration not only affects someone’s ability to perform; it is also dangerous, especially in our desert climate.
